Ross Parmenter - Update
by Dave Tye » Sat Oct 15, 2011 8:20 pm
Hi All,
Having spoken to Ross' parents, Gary and Pauline, this evening they would like to share an update on his condition.
Following the recent operation on his spine and a change to Ross' medication his pain level has been greatly reduced.
Although he still has no movement in his legs, he has today been able to turn himself on to his side. My understanding is he has also been able to achieve a sitting angle of 40 degrees whilst supported by his bed.
This is a great start and I would like to wish Ross every success with his on going efforts to make the strongest possible recovery.
Cheers
Dave

Ross Parmenter - Update

Good Evening,
Just a quick update on Ross tonight, I have just had a call from Gary:
He has had two Physiotherapy sessions today and whilst his Mum, Dad and Girlfriend were present the muscles to the side of his knee could be seen tightening. No independent movement at this time, but Gary and Ross' family are really pleased with this step in his recovery.
Cheers

Good Afternoon Folks,
I've just had a call from Gary concerning Ross and have been asked to provide an update.
During phsio Ross has been working on moving his feet, in addition to this Gary has confirmed that today, with assistance they have been able to get Ross sitting in a chair. Furthermore, with the help of a Frame and assistance during physio Ross has been able to stand for a short period.
This is fantastic news and whilst there is still a long way to go I would like to wish him all the best for his ongoing recovery.
Cheers
Dave

Good to hear the news that it`s not long until your home. The recovery will speed up then when your in familiar surroundings.
