Lost Object. ????

now not sure if i`m in the right Topic forum. but the Mod will move it if its wrong.

now when walking the track at the last Binsted meeting. Feb. I came across this object. (see pic below.) just wondered if anyone knew what it was and perhaps have lost it ??????? I`ve cleaned it up and its safe and warm if the owner would like to collect it at the weekend.

This looks very much like a KTM sump plug. However, if you found it on the ground then it would have worked loose from an engine leading to total oil loss and a catastophic mechanical failure.

I don't know of any KTM rider who is so stupid that he wouldn't have tighten his but perhaps others know better !

Out of interest, where exactly warm is it being stored ? Gilo has a very similar item that he installs regularly and his has never worked loose.

Hi all. I think this plug is mine I some what remember losing it, you didn't happen to find the oil that fell out with it? Just to let you know I won't be needing it back as I got a shiny new one and a load of shiny new bits to go inside the engine. Thanks a bunch for going through the effort to get it back home and I'll see you around
