news from the other side of the pond
Dispite the fact the sport is dead over here at the moment there is some good news!
This coming weekend my friend and I will be picking up a Norton/Hagon we have been lusting over for a few years. I have posted photo's before, it is in rough shape after sitting outside in the acid rain air of LA for many years. It will be a total restore but worth it and I'm looking forward to the day it is back out and running :D
just found the photo once more
well things went sour this weekend and the owner of the Hagon sort of changed the game to the point that we declined to buy it. He seems to think this crusty bike is something close the value of gold. Yes Adam, it has a motor an 850 Norton that like the bike has been sitting a long time. The pistons are proubly frozen but he thinks a cleaning and new oil and it's ready for racing??? The poor thing has sat out in the weather for 20+ years, it would require a lot of work and money to bring it back to running order. Hey he has an RT1 that has sat outside for so long it has turned green, says with a little work it could be worth $3000 us dollars???? I have lost all interest in bringing this bike back to life it can sit there for another 20 years.
