Riding Number
Hi Folks,
Just a quick query on riding numbers... Whilst we have been doing only the Pre65 club meets riding numbers haven't been an issue, but next season we are looking to travel to some others around the UK. I know team Chivers (the younger) are running 112 (Although they very kindly changed at Marks Tey and then spent much of the rest of the day throwing mud at us!).
According to Chris' license his assigned riding number is 15, so our plan for next season is to use this number... BUT... Before I go to my best artistic attempt to kit the bike out with some nice big 15's on the plates I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to have to peel them off as soon as I get to the first non Pre65 club meeting of they year as it is in use by another team...
Anyone know if this will be ok?
Cheers
Dave

Re: Riding Number
Think Eddie Ward was using 15. but as his outfit is up for sale, think this number may be up for grabs.
As for number on licence. The AMCA have never sent us the the same number year in year out. Even though we have always asked for 40.
Don`t think it matters if licence and number do not match, as long as no one clashes numbers. (only my opinion)

Re: Riding Number
There is an unofficial list of riders and numbers on the Twinshock-chairs web site. click below. This may help with picking a unused number.

Re: Riding Number
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the input, appreciate the help. Oddly enough I think all 3 (myself, Dad and Chris) have had had the same license numbers the last two years (none of which were 112!) and we didn't even ask to keep them. Dad and Chris started using the number a couple of years ago as it was their combined age! (Am sure they won't forgive me for publishing that one!)
I will have a chat with Chris, but if 15 is available (and Eddie doesn't mind) perhaps that would be a sensible way to go. :-)
Cheers
