Twinshock sidecar racing IS growing at a much faser rate than the modern side of the sport. The only thing slowing the growth is the availability of bikes. Twinshock air cooled four stroke / twin cylinder two stroke is all we need. Too many rules = bad feeling between riders and that is not what this side of the sport is about. I want happy fun racing that is why i am comming back.

I think that we should just leave it how it is, more fun that way.

I think that as long as it is twinshock, air cooled, and four stroke its fine, the welsh championship runs on these simple rules and there does not seem to be any trouble with it. singles have their good and bad points, so do the twins its just a bit of fun so lets keep it that way!

Bikes have gotta change, rules will get slightly bent. But for those of you who want to keep it the way it was "back in the day" must remember the drivers and passengers were all in there 20's maybe 30's back then and throwing a bike around that is as heavy as 4 night storage heaters was not a problem, but as we all get older a lighter machine will keep some older and damaged crews in the game...This all sounds like the start of a pointless pissing contest so think on chaps because it won't be long before all this crap starts putting people off...Don't bother to reply because once again i'm right.. love you all The Way Forward. - Page 2 61837

The Way Forward. - Page 2 Empty Why can't I ride my Jumbo

Post  kernel Tue Aug 31, 2010 9:51 am

I have one of the first EML Jumbo 1000. Electric start, twin cylinder two-stroke, aircooled and definitely twin-shocks. Weighs about a ton and is probably not as fast as my old CR500 outfit. Please tell me why I can't race it in the twinshock class Sad - Oh and it is definitely pre '85 as they were watercooled by then.

Kernel - I think your bike is a genuine pre 85er and should be allowed no problem. In fact - I'd love to see it out there !
