1000 v twin
hello all, im thinking of fitting a tr1 yam v twin motor in my wasp, is any one in the u.k using one? theres one for sale on the sidecar web site, it costs loads to get a 650 upto a bigger motor, these are big allready, not to keen on choppin my chassis around and ending up with a dud, there seems to be quite afew over the water and i remember ton van hauten using one around 1982

Van Hauten used a TR1 motor in 83 and it was a flop, he struggled all year and dropped it like a hot brick at end of season.

maybe I should make you a deal on a Kawi 750 triple in a left hand EML 84 frame. 100hp should be easy enough.

Re: 1000 v twin
iv had a wasp wasp and a eml 1000 jumbo, i like having something a bit different and i seems i would be the only one here with a v twin?. iv had a chat with a few lads and theres alot of untaped power in the tr1 motor. i will be starting me new project shortly, if its sucsefull then i will sell my 650 xs motor/exhausts and also the remains of my 880 that needs new liners/crank casings, also got other engine spares, if i decide to sell i will put an add on here with more details
