I have just spoken to Nick Leatherland and whilst he was at a MX show last weekend he spoke to darren hudson and he has told nick that unless he gets the entries in from the sidecars SOON (next two weeks) then he will NOT run sidecars at Farleigh this year !! ??

Ummmm how many crews have got £90-00 kicking around to hand over 6months in advance of a meeting. infact how many crews will there still be going in 6 months. I think its a bit soon to be thinking of pulling the plug on us. Have faith Darren,

A big loss in spectator revenue if you ain't got chairs, that's my only bit of advice...And don't forget i'm never wrong..

There is an alternative if they pull the plug.

Perhaps someone needs to speak to darren Hudson. as it clearly states on the entry form. " Entries close when class is Full"

I tried to get a solo entry last year but they were full months in advance

Some of the solo classes are already full!
Darren is being put under pressure to add more classes now.
He has always liked running sidecars, and understands us better than most organizers, but ultimately needs to turn a profit.

I have alresdy entered, but does Darren cash the cheques as people enter, or wait until closer to the time of the meeting? If the latter, there is no reason for you all not to enter now. At least this will keep the club happy, and we all get to ride on a decent track! We all moan about having to ride round flat fields and crap tracks, so when the opportunity arises for us to ride on a decent track i think we should grab it with both hands before we lose it.

Just been told that darren has pluged the plug on sidecars this year. due to lack of entrys. cancelled cancelled cancelled
perhaps next year we can get our entrys in abit earlier.

I know clubs hate late entries, but pulling the plug 6 months before the meeting seems a bit fishy.
And the one year it doesn't clash with Genk, where it is rumoured there will only be one race!
Some of us don't even know who we are riding with yet ffs...

not sure about the genk rumours doug i emailed the club .

there reply was "Normaly there will be twinshock sidecars support race at Genk GP, same as otherwise in 2 races and 1 training.
more information will follow,"

There is a meeting in April to decide the race format.

And theres also the French vets meeting same weekend as Farleigh . the french will love that old EML.
