Our best wishes go out to Dickie Skinner who broke a neck vertebra whilst going well in the first race at Kleinhau.
He is looking at being in a German hospital for a while as they are operating on him there.

Just spoken to Kate. Richard has had more tests and they have decided that an operation is not necessary. He will remain in hospital there for another 2-3 days and then return home. Kate has stayed out there and says that all is looking posstive.. They should be home by the weekend.

It`s good that the germans are not going to operate, they might still be miffed about getting whopped in the sidecar races. Glad to hear things are looking better and wishing a speedy recovery.

Just spoke to Dickie on the phone. He`s back in the UK. no opp, just a neck brace which he has to wear for a while. He had two cracks in the top vert that holds his head on. (his words) but as it was stable, no opp.
Hes in good spirits, and will be back racing again in the near future.
