Kawaski triple
Right then, I have found an H2 750 triple two stroke motor, 1972.
If I go about building it into pre 84 outfit how much winging is there going to be? Honestly now?

Re: Kawaski triple
Is there anywhere you can look at the rules just in case i buy something that i cant race???
I thought it was pretty straight forward :- twinshock pre 1984 (frame and engine ) either 2 stroke or 4 stroke???
or am i missing something ???
The triple sounds an awesome project !!! you can race it for me :D

Re: Kawaski triple
Regardless of year my feelings are that Dougs proposed outfit will be more than keeping with the spirit of twinshock sidecarX racing,
I for one would very much like to see this project out on the track, good luck Mr. Woods.
PS Let me know if EML becomes available

I can`t see a prob with it olive, was just worried what the Pre 65 Race day Comandant might have to say. ????????????
and Shep. with a 72 motor and pre 84 frame. nothing can or should stop it from racing here in the UK.

Re: Kawaski triple
Don't want to pee on anyones strawberrys but I was just reading the AMCA regs - sad. I know!
Section 3.3 under 25. Date of Manufacture states: Acceptable sidercar machines are those that can be proved to have been manufactured prior to 31st Decenber 1974, or in the case of 4-stroke machines prior to 31st December 1984
This would suggest that two strokes are only allowed in pre74 frames
Table 6 of the Eligibility section states :Any European or UK air-cooled two stroke up to 31st December 1973, Any four stroke engines up to 31st December 1984
This would suggest that two stroke Japanese engines are not allowed as there is a specific restriction placed on the origin of two stroke engines as opposed to the four strokes. PLus, and this may be my memory playing tricks, wasn't the KH750 later than 1974?
Best start lobbying your club rep for a change in rules if you want to ride the Kwaka! it would certainly make an interesting ride I suspect!

Re: Kawaski triple
well keep me up to date on your set up, I have a 72 H2 sitting in a 84 EML, not complete, but working on it in time. Yes, the H2 motors were gone by 74 or so, but what a blast it would be to ride with a better frame such as an 84!! They mainly fell out of favor at the time but can be made to produce great low end and close to 100 HP, should be fun!
I rode one back in the day, when we just put pipes on them, they were to much HP for the frames and suspension at the time, maybe why I have white hair? now

Re: Kawaski triple
There is no such machine as a KH750. The H2 ran from 1972 to 1975, Phillistine! The motor I have sourced is out of a 1972 H2A. And all this toing and froing is why I asked on here wether it's worth me pursuing.
